The Numbers of Nuptials

Well, it's finally been announced, so I can safely talk about it on my site. My little brother Francis, aka Princess, is getting married in the Philippines this November. It was a little bit of a shock to my family and I, but needless to say, I am very happy for him and his fiance, Merry. (I may have to start calling my lil bro, Pippen.)

What this means for me is this. I get to go on an unexpected one month vacation to my parents' homeland and be bridesmaid for a wedding a mere 8 months from now. My normal cynical self has to make an adjustment to perceive this as an opportunity rather than a upset in my plans. I should be thinking about the postives and not the negatives. This is a great opportunity for me to visit a foreign country, immerse myself in my roots, take a vacation, and spend quality time with my family. In life, flexibility and adaptability is key.

Hmmm.... methinks that maybe I need a new camera before the trip?

On the same day that my family announced the nuptials to the rest of the clan, I got a phone call from my best friend, Cinder-Hella, with an announcement of her own. As of yesterday afternoon, Cinder-Hella and Prince Dis-Arming are engaged to be married! For pics of the happy couple, and the beautiful engagement ring, check out www.jasonmacdonald.ca. Wedding to be sometime in the first part of the new year.

I guess I'll be in full-on wedding mode from here on in. I think being in multiple weddings will either make me glad to be single, or cause me utmost angst. We shall see.
