The Ben and Jerry Meetings

I may not always love my job, but I do enjoy the people I work with. There are a small group of really cool people, who work really hard, but also know how to play really hard here. All for the good of the province of Ontario.

We've started up an impromptu Friday afternoon tradition as of late. Fridays at 3pm, is our weekly meeting with Ben and Jerry. Our office tuck shop has recently acquired Ben and Jerry's ice cream bars. Hence, we have in our mutual Outlook calendars, a recurring meeting request to consult the Ice Cream gods. The idea actually makes me laugh out loud. We're such bureaucrats.

Anyway, today was a gorgeous day to sit outside by the Legislative Buildings and enjoy ice cream and gossip with a great bunch of girls. The sky was amazingly blue, the sun was out, and we were laughing our asses off. Moments like these make me truly happy. I used to miss my smoke breaks, but I do believe that ice cream breaks are better for the soul.
