The Price of Vanity

I felt really sexy today. And it doesn't happen very often.

I knew that FoxyLady was going to take me to breakfast, and lunch today, so I "girled" it up, and wore a black skirt, a revealing black top, and heels to work.

Let's just say that when the Database Analyst looks hot, people notice especially when I'm normally pretty conservative and casual at work. Even the "office ladies" noticed. I wonder if having one of them whistle at me in the hallway can be construed as sexual harassment? Ha ha ha. I love those women. They are all older and pretty eccentric. It's like having 7 mothers work alongside you.

Anyhow, I know I shouldn't have, but wearing cute heeled Mary Janes probably isn't smart for someone just recovering from knee surgery, but what can I say? I'm vain. Good thing I wore flats for most of the day, holed up in my office. Even though I'm sore, I do not regret the choice. The outfit had the desired effect. There is nothing like a sexy outfit to make you feel like a million bucks.

I totally subscribe to retail therapy. It's simply the best for your mind set. Not so great for your wallet.

Who knew that there lived such a girly vain person inside the body of an uber-geek?
