The Longest Flight
It's now 6pm on Sunday, October 31st, and I've just come off of 20 hours of travelling. Only 6 more hours to go.
by the way, Happy Halloween everyone!
I'm sitting in the internet lounge at Incheon Airport in Seoul, Korea. Thanks to my cocktail of a Gravol pill with a "No Jet Lag" chaser, I'm feeling pretty good.
I've got about 2 more hours before I take my next flight to my final destination of Manila, Philippines. I'm pretty excited and in awe of all the different sights and things I'll experience. Even though I'm full of airplane food, I've been stocking up on the gastronomic specialities that each airport has to offer. I got "Spicy Hot" Cheetos, and Ooohwhee Gourmet Popcorn (Caramel and Cheese together at last) at Chicago's O'Hare airport. Here, my travelling partner (my aunt) and I enjoyed some steamed dumplings, sushi and tofu udon soup.
In spite of all the enjoyment and distraction, I can't help but wonder: "Does she miss me? How long will that last before she'll find someone else to focus on?" I miss her terribly. More so than I expected. I wish we could share this experience. I wish that we could have worked out. I wish that our timing was better. She's probably going to read this. Or maybe not. I just wanted to tell her that I hope she's happy and doing well. I don't know what the future holds. I know it will get better, but it's hard to see through the fog.
I miss my bed. I miss my bunnies. I just wanted to share this with someone special, as I do all the wonderful experiences in my life. I will find that someday. More when I can get access to a computer with internet.
