The Rochesterians

I just finished packing for my weekend trip to Rochester to visit YummyMummy and her newest addition, a newborn baby boy.

My best friend CinderHella and her husband, Prince DisArming will be joining me on the 3+ hour drive to New York State tomorrow after work. It should be an interesting experience especially since YummyMummy and I have had trouble communicating since I officially came out of the closet in 2003.

I figure it will take her a long time, but in the meantime we've had a few disagreements on what should or shouldn't make me happy.

I think I'll just focus on the joy that is her two small children. And, of course, it'll be nice to get away from Toronto for a little while. I'm just sad that I can't share my personal heartaches with someone I've known for over 16 years just because of my orientation. She'll come around some day I hope.
